Mezírka, Martin ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis concern with problem transforms Braille's documents into text form. At first focus on Braille alphabet and principle of the scanners. Next is represent design of potential method of recognition Braille's documents. At the end is situated description of program's implementation with used library    OpenCV and Qt framework. Conclusion discusses reliability and some program's extensions.
Camereless Violence
Laytadze, Lali ; DVOŘÁK, Tomáš (advisor) ; ŠIMŮNEK, Michal (referee)
The code assigned to the subject, entering into interactive environment, is setting and determining its future existence. In the virtual environment, the absence of a numerical description makes a subject untrackable. Only by assigning a unique code does the affair begin to exist for the computing world. After receiving the code, the subject somehow comes to life, becoming recognisable, categorised, searchable - possessing existence. Every environment we are situated in can be perceived as panned and scanned. Cameraless photography, we meet in a moment of our existence, in an artificial space. We are scanning and at the same time we are being scanned. In the process of scanning and taking pictures, what part is the human playing? A person who can be seen as a tool of cameraless photography? Is he following the rules, or creating them? Or, is he himself a tool to the process of cameraless photography? Is he the individual who determines and recognizes the point that is set for the existence and meaning of cameraless photography?
Digital Images Production and Quality Control
Vychodil, Bedřich ; Souček, Jiří (advisor) ; Sklenák, Vilém (referee) ; Nič, Miloslav (referee)
(EN) This dissertation provides a broad understanding of fundamental terminology and an inside view of the digitization workflow and quality control processes. The main foci are on quality assurance during and outside the digitization processes and identification of the most suitable format for access, long term preservation, rendering and reformatting issues. An analysis of selected digitization centers is also included. An application called DIFFER (Determinator of Image File Format propERties) and subsequently The Image Data Validator - DIFFER has been developed using results from previously conducted research. The application utilizes new methods and technologies to help accelerate the whole processing and quality control. The goal was to develop a quality control application for a select group of relevant still image file formats capable of performing identification, characterization, validation and visual/mathematical comparison integrated into an operational digital preservation framework. This application comes with a well-structured graphic user interface, which helps the end user to understand the relationships between various file format properties, detect visual and non visual errors and simplify decision-making. Additional comprehensive annexes, describing the most crucial still image...
Digitization of 2D objects in museum collections
Wenzl, Jonáš ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor) ; Stočes, Michal (referee)
The thesis focuses on the analysis of digitization of two-dimensional objects and determination of methods applied to the collection in the Krkonoše Museum in Vrchlabí. The first part introduces and explains the theoretical basis. The second part contains an analysis of the digitization project in the Krkonoše Museum, compilation of methods from checking the object to its saving to data storage. Using the analysis, the main benefits and risks of digitization are ascertained. In conclusion, the digitization project of the Krkonoše Museum is assessed with the emphasis on the practical experience in the digitization of two dimensional objects, the possibilities of digitized collections and suggestions for further implementation. The solution provides a secure way of creating digital copies of objects of cultural and historical value, their archiving and future use of the data. The findings could be beneficial for other digitization projects.

Scanning of analog film materials
